I’ve been working from home for over a year now. The pandemic has caused most of us to question capitalism and in turn, hustle culture. This website was originally created with the intent that I don’t “lose” out on graphic design work and I still have some place to showcase my skills.
However, changing a career made me realize that I was clinging onto this old profession for the sake of it. Was I enjoying the work I was producing? Not really. Am I better at my new job? 100%.
Perhaps some day I will miss graphic design again and reopen the site. Until then, this space was just another tick on my to-do list and I’d rather spend that time on something else (i.e. DM’ing my D&D campaign).
Life’s too short to do things you don’t love, especially if you don’t need to do it. ✌️️

Quick intro: my name is Jeane and I want to be America’s next UX Superstar. Just kidding. I don’t even live in America.
I’m departing from the graphic design/print world as a 9 to 5 job. I find User Experience to be much closer to how my brain works. For instance, I love writing and research, and while I still value visual design, I’d rather spend more time on the researching and testing phase than the design phase.
With that being said, I still have 10 years of design work under my belt and continue to do side projects for friends because I like helping. So I’ve decided to make a portfolio site for that stuff.
